What this means-

ISO14001 Environmental Management System
Cubit System, Cubit, Symmetry 50, Ergoplan and EKO furniture ranges are manufactured in factories accredited to ISO14001. This internationally recognized and independently certified Environmental Management System plays an important role in decreasing pollution and waste in the manufacturing process and reducing the overall environmental footprint of a factory’s operations.

E1 board
LFE stands for Low Formaldehyde Emission and is called “E1” in the Australian Standard for Reconstituted Wood Panels.
E1 boards have formaldehyde levels so low as to be undetectable on many occasions and are on all occasions well below occupational and environmental standards including the threshold for cancer (2.4mg/m3) defined by the World health Organization (WHO) and workplace exposure limits set by the National Occupational health and Safety Commission (Australia).

Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA)
The voluntary Environmental Labeling Standards developed by Good Environmental Choice Australia Ltd (GECA) are scientifically recognized benchmarks for the environmental performance of products and services throughout the market.
The Good Environmental Choice Label is the only environmental labeling program in Australia which indicates the environmental performance of a product from a whole of product life perspective for consumer goods. GECA also has mutual recognition with Green Seal (uSA), Eco Logo (Canada), Euro Flower (Eu), Blue Angel (Germany), Nordic Swan (Nordic 5) and Environmental Choice New Zealand eco-labeling programs.
The label is awarded to products that meet voluntary environmental performance standards which have been created and assessed in conformance to international environmental labeling standards. The program is internationally recognized and growing in demand and awareness throughout different industries.
Cubit System, Cubit, Symmetry, Ergoplan and EKO furniture are all available on request to GECA Good Environmental Choice Label standard to achieve an even higher scoring for your Green Star Interiors rating.

Offer a recycle policy

Our desking supplier undertakes to collect any of its desking items free of charge in CKD format and will:

  • Donate it to a recognized charitable organization to extend its lifecycle
  • Or if the chair is beyond salvage, it will be dismantled metal leg frames, melamine panels and plastic edge band separated and sent to approved recyclers

As with desking we are commited to offering chairs that will not only provide great comfort, but also have the smallest possible impact on the environment.

Our range is made up of chairs that are built to last and in a lot cases our suppliers offer a recycle option once a chair reaches the end of its life.

In cases where you might look to upgrade before your furniture reaches its used by date then businesses such as ours are happy to consider purchasing good quality used office furniture
